Start to Sing is a Netherlands-wide initiative with an inviting ambition: get the whole country singing, preferably together. It encourages people to discover the enjoyment of singing with others, whether they are curious beginners or already involved in a choir. The website brings together singing activities across the country, including workshops, open rehearsals, group sessions and special singing days. Visitors can browse the calendar to find an activity that suits them, with listings that include event details, locations and, where indicated, whether participation is free.

Start to Sing also invites organisations and individuals to register and promote their own singing activities, particularly during its campaign week, scheduled for 19–27 September 2026. The campaign’s 2026 kick-off took place on and around Utrecht’s Domplein, with a gallery of event images available online. Beyond activities, the site features articles and stories about singing and the Dutch choral sector, alongside practical guidance on choosing a choir.
