Starting Point Outpatient

Starting Point Outpatient Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2015 to provide substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health services in Joplin, Missouri. Its mission is to support recovery and education, helping clients build skills and reach their potential without being turned away because they cannot pay. Services include intake and clinical assessments, treatment planning, SUD and mental health counseling, peer support, case management, referrals, and gambling assessments.

The organization also offers adolescent and family services, court advocacy, anger management, and grief counseling. Clients can access education, employment support and training, and alumni services, including groups and opportunities to reconnect with the team. Starting Point also hosts recovery-supportive activities and provides meals at some events.
