Starts Hear is an educational resource brought to you by Hearing First, focused on newborn hearing screening and the role hearing plays in early learning and development. Its goal is to help parents understand the newborn hearing screening, learn their baby’s results, and follow up promptly when needed, so children can reach their full potential.
The site explains how sound supports early brain development, outlines what to expect during a screening, and offers guidance for families when a baby does not pass or the results are unclear. In partnership with BabyCenter, Starts Hear also offers a free toolkit with suggestions to help give babies a strong start.
