Stavanger Basketball

Stavanger Basketballklubb is one of Stavanger’s oldest basketball clubs, established in 1979. Run by a large community of volunteers, the club works to give children, young people and adults the opportunity to enjoy basketball, develop their skills and experience the satisfaction of reaching goals. It has more than 250 members across a range of teams and welcomes new players when places are available.

The club offers basketball for children and youth, senior teams for men and women, and basketball school groups. Activities include regular training, games, series play, training matches, camps and tournaments, alongside opportunities for player development. Stavanger Basketballklubb also provides information and resources for coaches, team contacts, referees, parents and volunteers. These include guidance on membership, equipment, safety and injury prevention, match administration, and the practical work involved in running a team or event. Courses and support help participants take on roles such as coaching or working at the game table.
