About St. Bernard Hospital
St. Bernard Hospital is a community-focused healthcare provider in Chicago’s Englewood neighborhood, serving patients through inpatient and outpatient medical services. Its history began with the vision of Rev. Bernard Murray, who sought to bring adequate healthcare to the community. In 1903, the Religious Hospitallers of St. Joseph sent seven sisters to help establish the hospital, and construction began the following year with support from local residents. St. Bernard is proud of its founding by the Religious Hospitallers of Saint Joseph and is sponsored by Catholic Health International.
The hospital offers a broad range of care through its Ambulatory Care Center, Behavioral Health services, Dental Center, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Room, Eye Clinic, Immediate Care Clinic, Mobile Health Units, Orthopedics and Wound Care, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Specialty Clinics, and Women’s Health services. Patients can also find doctors, request appointments, access medical records, and get information about financial services, insurance, and pharmacy resources. St.
