Harmonie St.Caecilia

Harmonie St. Caecilia Bavel is a vibrant musical association based in Bavel, established on November 1, 1923. The organization comprises a diverse membership of 94 musicians, with a strong focus on fostering amateur music while maintaining a friendly and collaborative atmosphere. Central to its mission is the commitment to enhance musical standards, all while promoting community engagement through frequent performances within the local Bavelse community.

St. Caecilia offers a range of musical ensembles, including the main Groot Orkest, which comprises 75 members and performs in the 2nd division of the Federation of Catholic Music Associations, and the Opleidingsorkest, a nurturing ground for aspiring musicians. Activities include public serenades, seasonal concerts, and collaborative events like "Bavel Izz Music," which showcases music, singing, and dance. Furthermore, community traditions such as the annual "dauwtrappen" on Ascension Day are celebrated, reinforcing the ensemble's close ties with its cultural roots. New members are always welcome, contributing to the orchestra's ongoing journey of musical development and friendship.
