About Steady Steps
Steady Steps provides practical, personalised support to families and individuals navigating special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), disability benefits, education, and healthcare systems. Founded by Gabriela Georgescu, a mother of four, including children with additional needs, the service combines professional knowledge with lived experience to help make complex processes clearer and more manageable.
Support includes guidance and assistance with Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications, reviews and challenges, as well as Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Personal Independence Payment (PIP) applications. Steady Steps can also help families communicate with schools, local authorities and other professionals, prepare for meetings, and access advocacy, representation and conflict resolution.
