Steady Run Genetics

Steady Run Genetics and AK Aussies is a family-operated livestock and dog breeding brand owned by Klint and Addy McDowell. Steady Run Genetics raises registered Red Angus, Black Angus, and Simmental cattle, with a focus on developing animals that can serve customers for many years. The operation also maintains a small recipient herd for select customers and offers cattle through its for-sale program, with information about its sires and females available on the website. Its work is guided by a passion for the beef industry and a commitment to building a lasting brand.

Alongside its cattle program, the McDowells raise purebred Australian Shepherds and Mini Aussiedoodles through AK Aussies. Visitors can explore the dedicated AK Aussies page for more information about the dogs. The brand shares updates through social media and invites prospective customers and other interested visitors to get in touch with questions. Together, Steady Run Genetics and AK Aussies bring cattle breeding and companion-dog raising under one family-run operation.
