SteigAuf e.V. is a nonprofit association based in Soest, Germany, dedicated to helping people with and without disabilities participate more fully in community life. Founded around the shared commitment of families, children, young people, and young adults, the organization aims to make inclusive activities accessible despite personal, physical, intellectual, emotional, or financial challenges.
At its Reitanlage Bördeland, SteigAuf offers activities centered on ponies and horses, including riding therapy, riding lessons, vaulting, introductory “Mini” riding, and holiday projects. The association also provides a family-support service offering low-threshold care to help relieve relatives and other caregivers. Its school support service gives children and young people individualized assistance when disabilities or emotional difficulties affect their ability to attend school. For school-age children with and without disabilities, SteigAuf runs afternoon care that includes a shared lunch, homework support, and other activities. Additional programming includes holiday and seasonal experience days, outdoor outings, and creative activities.
