Steinbildhaueratelierch

Kunstatelier Klopfenstein GmbH is the Bern-based stone-carving studio of Mirjam Klopfenstein, a federally certified stone sculptor. The atelier creates individual memorials from natural stone, combining artistic expression with careful craftsmanship to help families give lasting form to memory, love and grief. Each piece is made as a unique work and shaped around the wishes and ideas of the people commissioning it.

The studio’s work includes gravestones, relief-carved memorials, urn niche and inscription plates, sculptures, engraving, and stones with borders. Designs range from simple lettering to more expressive sculptural forms, with personal ideas welcomed even when they are not shown in the portfolio. Mirjam Klopfenstein offers personal guidance throughout the process, accompanying families with sensitivity and respect as they consider materials, forms and ways to express a life remembered. Her approach brings together creative vision, technical skill and a thoughtful understanding of the emotional significance of a memorial. The result is a distinctive stonework intended to serve as a lasting tribute.
