Steinfjellstafetten

Steinfjellstafetten is an annual team relay held in Namsskogan and Røyrvik, Norway, bringing participants together for a two-day sporting event through varied terrain and scenic landscapes. The 2026 event is scheduled for August 29 and 30, with the relay starting in Brekkvasselv and finishing at Skorovatn. Teams cover more than 100 kilometres across 15 stages, each ranging from 4.2 to 10.3 kilometres. Depending on the selected class, the programme includes running stages, cycling stages, or both.

The event offers categories for women’s and men’s teams, youth, veterans, school teams, and individual ultra runners. In several team categories, stages can be shared among participants; ultra competitors run every stage themselves. Cycling is included in designated stages for the youth, veteran, and school category. Steinfjellstafetten provides practical information for participants, including stage details, schedules, results, registration, and team listings.
