Steinplatte

Steinplatte Waidring is a mountain and family leisure destination in the three-country region where Tirol, Salzburg and Bavaria meet. Its mountain cable car and the Triassic Park invite visitors to explore the area in summer, while the surrounding Steinplatte and Winklmoosalm offer winter activities, including skiing, snowboarding and snowparks. The mountain is also accessible from the German side via the toll road from Seegatterl near Reit im Winkl.

In summer, visitors can hike, climb and mountain bike amid panoramic Alpine scenery. At the Triassic Park, families can follow the Triassic Trail past life-size dinosaurs and fossilized coral, cool off at the Triassic Beach, and explore interactive attractions such as fossil-digging activities, a dinosaur skeleton excavation and an augmented-reality puzzle trail. Indoor exhibits and a cave provide options in poor weather. Children’s activities, seasonal events and outdoor yoga and fitness sessions add to the experience, while the barrier-free Panorama Muschel offers a place to relax and enjoy the views.
