We currently have an optical fibre network comprising more than 3,000 km of cable deployed along the electricity transmission grid . Our core business is operating telecommunications infrastructure focusing mainly on the lease of dark fibre and sites to our clients. Stelkom is owned by ELES, who is state owned operator of Slovenia's electric power transmission network; HSE (manufacturer and trader of electricity) and all five state owned electricity distribution companies. With backbone of the telecommunication infrastructure and the ramified fibre optic network of electric utility companies, Stelkom enables Slovenian and international telecommunication service providers to significantly enhance and upgrade their service. Our international and domestic optic-fibre telecommunication network ensures high capacity and availability of data and services based on the latest DWDM and IP MPLS technologies, further increasing the level of connectivity and reliability among telecommunication hubs located both in Slovenia and abroad.
