Stellar Canon is an independent astronomy resource for people who want to learn the night sky through patient, practical observation. Its guides and notes focus on naked-eye skywatching, seasonal constellations, observing skills and records from nights beneath the stars. Rather than emphasizing equipment or exhaustive catalogues, the site offers approachable ways to build familiarity with the sky, starting with orientation, recognizable star patterns and careful attention.

Visitors can explore seasonal routes through constellations such as Leo and Virgo in spring, Cygnus and Lyra in summer, Pegasus and Andromeda in autumn, and Orion and Taurus in winter. Practical guidance covers dark adaptation, finding north, distinguishing atmospheric seeing from transparency, and using averted vision to notice faint targets. Stellar Canon also provides a simple observing routine and field-note advice, including what to record about visibility, moonlight, temperature and sky clarity. Its concise resources help beginners and returning observers develop a steady habit, build a mental map and make each observing session more informative than the last.
