About Stellar Winery
Stellar Winery is South Africa's largest producer of fine organic and fair trade wines, located at Kys Halte near Vredendal in the Western Cape Province. This region is renowned for its beautiful spring flowers and is recognized as a semi-arid Biosphere hotspot. Stellar sources organic grapes from independent farms, forming a multi-estate fair trade structure where workers, including seasonal employees, own 26% of the enterprise through the Stellar Winery Empowerment Trust.
Since its establishment in 2003, Stellar has been a pioneer in winemaking and social development, achieving significant success with its no-added-sulphur wine range, which has made it the leading producer in this category globally. The winery also engages in a robust fair trade program, improving the living and working conditions of its workers through the Stellar Foundation. Stellar exports both bottled and bulk wines to a diverse range of markets across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America, offering customers an extensive selection of customizable products
