MANTIX is the science, documentary and media venture developed by Stéphane Caut, an ecology researcher and image-maker with more than a decade of experience working with research organisations in ecology and conservation biology. Combining scientific expertise with a strong visual approach, Caut creates photographs and films that make research accessible while conveying the realities of animal life and ecosystems. MANTIX develops and produces documentaries, scientific and nature-focused media, photography projects, publications and press features, and undertakes expeditions in remote or challenging environments.
Its work spans marine, freshwater and terrestrial ecosystems and explores species across food chains, including insects, mammals, birds, reptiles, sharks and cetaceans. Projects have included studies and documentaries on subjects such as black caimans, sea turtles, fishing and wildlife. The venture also draws on Caut’s experience producing DVDs and photojournalism for specialist publications, and collaborates with KOBB MEDIA.
Through research, exploration and distinctive imagery, MANTIX connects scientific knowledge with engaging stories for wider audiences
