About Step
Step by Stones is a dedicated support platform for parents of children with special needs and rare diseases, aiming to connect families facing similar challenges. Located in Nairobi, our mission is to enhance emotional and psycho-social well-being while providing knowledge to improve self-care and child care. We organize Rare Disease Day annually to raise awareness about rare diseases and their impact.
Our core values include acceptance, dignity, integrity, inclusion, and respect. We offer emotional and psychosocial support, training opportunities, and collaborate with professional bodies. Established in 2013 as an online support group, Step by Stones has evolved into a registered association to assist all disabilities.
