Steps of Hope Children's Foundation

Steps of Hope, also known as Pasos de Esperanza, is a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to helping children in Colombia access the care and support they need to grow, participate, and thrive. Since 2009, the foundation has supported children with physical disabilities and other medical needs when their families cannot afford treatment. Its programs fund surgeries, specialist consultations, medications, emergency care, custom prosthetic limbs, and physical, occupational, hydrotherapy, and neurodevelopmental therapies. Care is coordinated with each child’s medical team, while prosthetics are crafted at Centro de Prótesis Avanzadas in Ecuador.

Through its Dream Makers program, Steps of Hope also helps children experience meaningful wishes, such as trips to the ocean, quinceañeras, and sports events. The foundation shares children’s stories and progress to connect supporters with the impact of their generosity. Steps of Hope states that 100% of donations reach children in Colombia, with its founders personally covering operating costs. Gifts are tax-deductible in the United States.
