Stereo Stories

Stereo Stories is an Australian storytelling and music project that brings songs, personal memories and live performance together. Its central idea is to pair a song with a story about the people, places and moments connected to it, creating an experience that is reflective, entertaining and shaped by music. The website publishes a wide range of written stories inspired by songs, alongside collections devoted to artists, genres and themes such as Bob Dylan, the Beatles, Australian music, travel, love, family and grief.

The project also performs concerts through the Stereo Stories Band, combining spoken narration with live music. It has appeared at writers’ festivals, including the Williamstown Literary Festival and Write Around the Murray, and offers booking enquiries through its director. Stereo Stories has published pocketbooks featuring its work, available through a local bookshop and by contacting the editor. The site additionally provides concert information, photographs, set lists, writer and narrator profiles, and selected recordings and media coverage.
