Stericlair is a family of UV-C air sanitizing devices developed by Extra Corporeal Solutions (ECS), a company that designs and manufactures UVGI systems. ECS’s quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 for medical devices, and the company is a member of the International Ultraviolet Association.
Stericlair devices use ultraviolet germicidal irradiation to treat circulating air. A dust filter protects internal components, while UV-C sources and reflective mirrors expose microorganisms to radiation intended to disrupt their DNA or RNA. The range includes the Stericlair 600 for large areas, the Stericlair 300 for smaller spaces, and the Stericlair 150 for elevators. Suggested settings include hospitals, schools, offices, shops, restaurants, and malls. The company states that the units are designed for use around people and do not emit ozone.
Stericlair products are presented as easy to install and operate by connecting them to a power supply, with operating and maintenance guidance provided in a user manual. Units can also be customized with customer-provided graphics.
