ST.E.R.N.A. (Studi Ecologici e Ricerca Natura ed Ambiente) is an Italian cooperative founded in 1989 by researchers associated with the Ornithological Museum of Forlì, whose activities it continues to manage. Bringing together professionals in natural, biological, agricultural and forestry sciences, engineering, education and communication, the organisation provides services for integrated territorial and environmental management.

Its work includes field-based natural history research, environmental monitoring and ecological analysis. ST.E.R.N.A. collects, archives, maps and digitally processes data to build natural-history databases and support evidence-based understanding of ecosystems. It also advises public and private organisations, helping balance nature conservation with social and economic needs.

The cooperative designs, equips and manages museums focused on natural sciences, as well as environmental education and learning centres. Its educational and outreach activities share knowledge about local landscapes and natural sciences, particularly with schools, using multimedia communication techniques.
