Sternenfreunde Eberswalde e. V. is a nonprofit astronomy club based at the Sigmund Jähn Observatory on the roof of Karl Sellheim School in Eberswalde, Germany.

The association brings together people interested in astronomy and welcomes the public to explore the night sky, learn about celestial objects, and discover how observatory instruments work. Public observing evenings are generally held on the first Thursday of each month, with schedules adjusted for the seasons. When weather prevents outdoor observation, visitors can attend talks and discussions on astronomy.

The club also offers access to astronomy books and magazines for borrowing, and its members share astrophotographs and publish an annual astronomy calendar featuring their images. Events include presentations, guided observations, and special programs for occasions such as Astronomy Day and solar eclipses. The observatory is equipped with a main telescope and additional instruments used on its observation platform.

Public events are free, and the club relies on donations to maintain its facilities, care for equipment, and replace or upgrade technology
