Volkssternwarte Würzburg e. V. is a registered, nonprofit astronomy association founded in 1985 to promote and nurture public understanding of astronomy.

Based in Würzburg, Germany, it welcomes astronomy enthusiasts and curious visitors to explore the night sky through educational events and practical observation. The association holds monthly lectures on astronomical topics, typically accompanied by a short guide to the current sky. It also offers telescope-equipped observatory tours several times a month, weather permitting, with special appointments available for groups.

Visitors unable to attend in person can take a virtual tour. Members, who include amateur astronomers and other interested people from Würzburg and the surrounding area, can use the association’s telescopes, library, cameras, and computers.
