Stevenage Dolphins Swimming Club is a friendly, volunteer-run disability swimming club in Stevenage, welcoming people with disabilities to enjoy the water, stay active and build confidence in a safe, supportive setting. Established in 1962, the club is a UK-registered charity and is affiliated with NASCH, the national association for swimming clubs for people with disabilities.
The club meets every Sunday from 4pm to 5.15pm at Stevenage Swimming Centre. Sessions offer 75 minutes of pool time, with a lane reserved for swimming lengths and the rest of the pool available for members to swim at their own pace. The venue has a hoist and a deck-level pool to support easier access. Lifeguards are on duty, and volunteers are available to help in the water; family members and carers are welcome to swim too.
Prospective members can attend a taster session. Annual membership costs £5 per person, with no additional charge for pool sessions. The club also shares notices, newsletters, gala results and other community news.
