Stichting Aanpakken

Stichting Aanpakken is a foundation that provides financial support to help ministers and church professionals within the Protestant Church in the Netherlands (PKN) develop their skills and pursue professional growth. Its eligible applicants include serving PKN ministers, registered church workers, ministers serving as spiritual caregivers with a PKN affiliation, and doctoral candidates who have completed ministerial training.

The foundation offers grants for continuing education, including courses, training and study programmes. Support may also help cover individual or team coaching, supervision and other guided development; eligible costs can include publishing a book, expenses related to doctoral research, relevant conferences or symposia, and study trips connected with continuing education or research. For PKN ministers and church workers undertaking a required guidance programme, additional funding may be available.

Applicants submit a request using the foundation’s online form. The board reviews each application, and applicants are notified by email within two months whether funding has been awarded.
