Stichting BON

Stichting Behoud en Ontwikkeling Natuurparken (Stichting BON) is an organization focused on conserving marine life and supporting responsible sea angling through its “Fish 4 Ever,” also called “Fishing 4 Ever,” project. Its work centers on sharing information, conducting research, and encouraging the development of plans for an ecologically responsible marine environment along one or more coastal areas. The project seeks to create conditions in which recreational sea fishing can take place, alongside the possibility of limited sustainable commercial fishing.

A key aim is to help restore populations of common, rare, and nearly extinct fish species. Rather than offering a range of consumer products, Stichting BON describes its contribution through these information, research, and planning activities. Its approach connects the future of sea fishing with the health of coastal and marine ecosystems, emphasizing that fishing should be compatible with ecological responsibility.
