Stichting Niek & Co is a Dutch foundation established by René and Rian Bekkers, parents of Senn and Niek, and named after their son Niek. The foundation runs a small-scale respite home for children with multiple disabilities who need additional care. Open on weekends and during school holidays, the home offers a warm, safe place for up to five children, designed to feel as much like home as possible.
Care is provided by a carefully selected team of care workers and nurses. The foundation focuses on tailored support, close attention and personal guidance for each child. When all five places are occupied, three care staff are present during the day, and an active night shift provides overnight care. The service also aims to support and relieve parents and families.
Stichting Niek & Co relies on donations and sponsorship to supplement the care funding it receives and help keep the home accessible. Supporters can become a Friend of Niek & Co through a one-time annual donation.
