Stichting Noaberhulp

Noaberhulp is a volunteer organization providing practical and compassionate support to people receiving care at home during the final phase of life, and to the relatives who care for them. Serving Zutphen, Lochem, parts of Bronckhorst, and central Brummen, the organization helps families make time for rest and meaningful moments together. Its volunteers can temporarily take over some caregiving duties during the day or at night, offering companionship and respite so family caregivers can recharge.

Volunteers are carefully selected and receive ongoing training and support. Noaberhulp’s coordinators arrange an introductory conversation and help determine when support is appropriate; families, healthcare professionals, and other relatives can all make contact. The service is free to clients, supported in part by government subsidies and in part by donations.

Noaberhulp also welcomes new volunteers and offers information through articles, interviews, and events such as Café Doodgewoon, which explores topics related to the final stage of life. People outside its service area can find a nearby volunteer organization through the national VPTZ network
