Stichting We Can

Stichting WeCAN is a Dutch nonprofit foundation dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in need, in the Netherlands and abroad. Its work combines preventive care with practical assistance, aiming to reduce suffering and help animals live healthier lives. The foundation supports access to nutritious food and contributes financially toward suitable housing. It also provides flea and tick treatments and deworming to help prevent illness and discomfort.

A central part of WeCAN’s work is organizing voluntary spay and neuter projects for stray animals, helping curb overpopulation and prevent related animal suffering. The foundation works with local communities and other veterinarians to deliver these projects and promote locally led solutions. It also provides direct emergency assistance to animals in need and raises awareness about responsible pet ownership, preventive healthcare, and population management.

Stichting WeCAN invites people to support its work through financial or in-kind donations. It holds ANBI status, meaning eligible gifts may be tax-deductible. The foundation also publishes project updates, activity reports, and annual reports.
