Stiff Peaks Patisserie is a luxury bakery in Ballachulish, in the Scottish Highlands, offering freshly made sweet and savoury treats crafted with high-quality local ingredients. Founded and run by expert baker Lyndsay Michie, the patisserie brings together classic baking traditions and the distinctive produce of Lochaber. Michie trained as an apprentice under Michel Roux Jr. at Londonβs Le Gavroche, where she was named apprentice of the year, and later worked with two-Michelin-starred chef Andrew Fairlie before opening her own shop.
The range includes pastries, rich tarts, cakes, brownies and hearty savoury bakes, prepared in the shop each day. Customer favourites mentioned include lemon meringue and apple pies, carrot cake, cheese scones, pistachio and raspberry financiers, and haggis-and-mustard sausage rolls. Stiff Peaks aims to make each visit a welcoming experience for locals and visitors, with homemade goods, a varied selection and friendly service. Located at Loanfern in Ballachulish, the patisserie invites guests to enjoy a taste of the Highlands through carefully made classic foods.
