Stiftung Fritz Bösch

The Fritz Bösch Foundation is a charitable Swiss foundation established in 2012 and based in Lyss, with activities throughout Switzerland and a particular focus on the municipality of Lyss. It continues the commitment of its founder, entrepreneur Fritz Bösch, to recognizing and supporting young talent. The foundation provides financial assistance for the initial education of children and young people under 20 facing difficult circumstances and limited family resources, subject to a connection with Lyss.

It also supports promising and elite young athletes, generally from age 16, and institutions dedicated to developing young sporting talent. Support does not cover infrastructure, staff or coaching positions, or events. For aspiring engineers at Swiss federal institutes of technology and universities of applied sciences, the foundation offers financial help, particularly loans on favorable terms, with emphasis on technical disciplines such as machinery, construction and electrical systems.

Applications from international students are considered only in exceptional cases. In addition, the foundation periodically awards a prize to entrepreneurs recognizing lifetime achievement and sustained social responsibility
