Stiftung Kinderheim Gundelfingen is a charitable organization providing care and support for children and young people who cannot live at home or need help in difficult circumstances. Founded in 1883 as the Kinderasyl Gundelfingen, the foundation now brings together three residential homes: St. Clara in Gundelfingen, St. Antonius in Gersdorf and St. Maria in Kalzhofen. Each offers a supportive living environment and individualized, therapeutic educational care, guided by a shared approach focused on community, holistic development and respect for people, animals and nature.
The foundation also operates a therapeutic day program in Gundelfingen, with preschool and school groups for children aged three to thirteen, working in partnership with parents and families. Its services include after-school care in Gundelfingen and Lauingen, delivered in cooperation with local schools. Ecologically managed farming and gardening are an integral part of the foundation’s work: they contribute to food provision and give children practical opportunities to engage with nature, animal care and regional food production.
