Die Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin (SNB) wurde 1981 durch das Abgeordnetenhaus Berlin per Gesetz als gemeinnützige Stiftung des öffentlichen Rechts ins Leben gerufen. Seitdem engagiert sie sich für eine artenreiche, vielfältige Hauptstadt mit dem Focus auf Naturschutz, Umweltbildung und Freiwilligendienste. Außerdem unterstützt die SNB andere Organisationen bei ihren Naturschutzprojekten ideell und finanziell und berät die Senatsverwaltung für Umwelt. Die Stiftung ist ausschließlich in Berlin tätig.
