Stiftung Zaczkowski is a charitable foundation based in St. Gallen, Switzerland, established in 1977 by music educators Margrit and Boleslaw Zaczkowski. Inspired by their commitment to the city’s cultural life, the foundation continues their work supporting musicians and music education. Its purpose is to help talented musicians living in Switzerland pursue their musical training and further education, offering financial assistance for artistic activities. The foundation has also supported musicians of many genres by providing affordable accommodation and teaching spaces in its property.
The Zaczkowskis were active contributors to St. Gallen’s music community: Margrit taught singing and wrote concert reviews, while Boleslaw was a pianist and piano teacher. Together they founded a music school, organised concerts and staged classical chamber performances. The foundation welcomes donations from music lovers and other supporters to help sustain its charitable work. Its website lists many previously supported musicians across a wide range of instruments and disciplines.
