Stillwater Cat Haven

Stillwater Cat Haven is a nonprofit, tax-exempt cat welfare organization serving cats in its community in and around Anderson, California. Founded by Joan Neptune, the organization works to address the needs of homeless and community cats through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), colony monitoring, and sanctuary care. Its work includes trapping cats for spay or neuter, helping stabilize colony populations, and monitoring sites where cats live.

Stillwater also provides a homesite sanctuary for cats and has arranged adoptions; by 2022, it reported spaying or neutering 1,823 cats and finding homes for 471. The organization has described caring for about 150 cats at its sanctuary in 2022 and monitoring around 20 stabilized colony sites in a later update. Stillwater Cat Haven relies on community donations, including financial contributions and supplies such as food and litter, to support its work.

It shares information and updates through its blog and Facebook page and welcomes community involvement in addressing the challenges facing homeless and free-roaming cats
