Stimen

Stimen, formally Ågerup and Surrounding Area Sports Fishing Club, is a local angling association serving fishing enthusiasts in and around Ågerup and Roskilde, Denmark. The club brings members together through a varied programme of fishing trips, practical activities and social events. Its outings include sea, coastal, river and put-and-take fishing, with occasional multi-day trips to destinations in Jutland, Sweden and Norway. For some sea trips, Stimen joins forces with other sports fishing clubs.

Members can follow upcoming trips, competitions, catches and club activities through the website and Facebook page. The club also provides information about local fishing, its board and other association matters. Social fellowship is central to Stimen’s community life, with members gathering both on trips and at club events, including a summer party and annual general meeting. The association has club rooms in the basement of Ågerup Library, where members meet and have access to workshops for making their own fishing tackle. People interested in joining are invited to contact the club’s chair or treasurer.
