Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Programme

Stipendium Hungaricum is a scholarship programme established by the Hungarian Government to internationalise higher education in Hungary and welcome students from around the world. It aims to help scholars build personal and professional connections with Hungary, while supporting cooperation between Hungary and graduates’ home countries. The programme offers international students access to degree opportunities at Hungarian universities, with study options across higher-education fields and programmes taught in English and other foreign languages.

Scholarship benefits include coverage of tuition fees and support with accommodation costs, helping students focus on their academic progress and experience life in Hungary. The programme’s website provides information about available courses through its Study Finder, alongside application details, news, and guidance for current scholarship holders about administrative responsibilities, student life, and their stay in Hungary. It also shares stories from scholarship recipients and information about Hungarian culture and student experiences.

Applications for the 2026/27 academic year are closed; prospective applicants can consult the programme’s calls for applications and news for updates
