About Stipula
Stipula is an Italian writing-instrument maker rooted in Florence, with a history that began in 1945. Its founder, Renzo Salvadori, learned mechanical turning in a small Florentine workshop and developed a talent for making fountain pens. Today, Stipula produces its writing instruments at its workshop in Vallina, near the Arno River, bringing together craftspeople skilled in nib-making, shaping, miniature painting and goldsmithing.
The company makes handmade fountain pens and nibs for its own labels and for other brands, including Stipula, Cervinia, Globus, The Royal Pen and Venustas. Its collections include piston-fill, cartridge/converter and direct-fill fountain pens, as well as rollerball and ballpoint pens. Stipula also offers inks, nibs and accessories. Its work combines traditional materials such as celluloid and ebonite with exclusive resins developed in its laboratories through casting and fusion processes. The company also draws on historic Globus equipment, recovered in the 2000s, to support its artisanal production of nibs and feeds.
