Stirling Ridge Alpacas

Stirling Ridge Alpacas is a small alpaca farm in Moscow, Idaho, serving owners and aspiring alpaca enthusiasts from its setting in the Palouse. Run by Patch and Debbie Blakey, the farm raises and sells Huacaya alpacas, including breeding females and herdsires, and offers quality fiber products through its store. The farm’s rent-a-womb program gives customers without their own land or facilities a way to arrange breeding with a selected female.

Stirling Ridge manages breeding, pregnancy checks, and care through birth; the customer owns the cria and may board it at the farm. Alpaca purchases over $1,500 include one month of free boarding, delivery within 100 miles, and specified reproductive and live-cria guarantees. The farm also provides boarding, transport for veterinary visits, and breeding support, working with camelid specialists at Washington State University.

Visitors can stay in the farm’s bed-and-breakfast room and receive practical guidance on alpaca care, handling, and grooming. Stirling Ridge also welcomes inquiries from people interested in purchasing particular animals as the owners downsize their herd
