SGHA

Stittsville Girls Hockey Association (SGHA) is a community-based girls’ hockey organization in Stittsville, Ontario, and a member of the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association (OWHA). It offers competitive and recreational programs for players from the U7 to U18 age groups, with teams spanning introductory, house league, and competitive levels. The association’s divisions include Timbits U7, U9, U11, U13, U15, and U18, with selected age groups offering AA, B, BB, C, or house league teams. SGHA also provides goalie development and supports player skill-building, teamwork, and enjoyment of the game.

In addition to regular team programs, the association organizes registration, schedules, tournaments, and hockey events, including a meet-and-skate event featuring Stittsville’s own Mya Vaslet. It shares coaching announcements and accepts applications for competitive and house league coaches. Families and community members can find information about arena locations, association governance and policies, fundraising, sponsors, and an educational bursary through SGHA’s resources. With programs serving a range of ages and experience levels, SGHA helps local girls participate in hockey and develop within a supportive community setting.
