Stomaatje Team

Stichting Stomaatje is a Dutch nonprofit organization supporting people who have or are preparing to have a stoma, as well as their families and friends. Its website offers extensive, practical information for every stage of the experience, from understanding digestive and urinary systems and preparing for surgery to recovery and daily stoma care. Topics include stoma types, appliances and accessories, skin care, nutrition, medication, common problems, travel, work, sport, relationships, pregnancy, and support for children.

Stomaatje also creates opportunities for people to connect and share experiences through a private Facebook group, blogs, personal stories, and activities such as an annual swimming day.
