Stonetavern is a community project offering free World of Warcraft private servers in the EU for players who value classic gameplay, transparent rules, and a welcoming community. It runs two realms: Elwynn, a permanently Vanilla 1.12 PvE world with level 60 content and staged raid openings, and The Barrens, a progressive realm moving together from Classic through The Burning Crusade to Wrath of the Lich King. Both use x1 rates and offer cross-faction play; The Barrens also has both PvE and PvP play periods.

Stonetavern provides a ready-to-play Windows client, launcher, addon installation guidance, and online tools including a game database, gear planner, raid calendar, and talent calculator. Players can also explore guides, leaderboards, character records, a live Armory, changelogs, and community forums. One account works on the website and in-game. The project has no shop or pay-to-win purchases, and donations support operating costs without offering gameplay advantages. Its public changelog and records help keep realm changes and community activity visible. The site also provides rules, FAQs, and Discord access.
