STOP 22 is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the risk of suicide among veterans by strengthening education, access to support, and community connection. Founded by Eric L. Honea, the organization honors his son, Christian Lee Honea, a Marine who died by suicide after returning from overseas duty. Its programs provide educational and vocational scholarships for veterans, their spouses, and children at accredited colleges, universities, and trade schools. STOP 22 also supports the Christian Lee Honea Memorial Scholarship Endowment at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, which helps veterans pursuing law degrees.

The organization offers pro bono legal assistance and referrals, including help with discharge upgrade requests, and provides workshops on résumés and cover letters. It aims to create a safe space where veterans can connect and access support, coordinating with local mental health professionals to provide counseling services. STOP 22 raises funds through donations, sponsorships, and events, including an annual gala fundraiser featuring dinner, entertainment, and a silent auction.
