Stord friidrett

Stord Friidrett is the athletics section of Stord Idrettslag, a sports club founded on 30 March 1914. Athletics has been part of the club since its beginnings, and the section offers members opportunities to train and compete. Its activities include organised training, coaching, club teams, and competitions for athletes of different ages and experience levels. The club provides information about training schedules, coaches, results, records, and practical arrangements for events.

Stord Friidrett organises and supports athletics events in the local area, including Parkløpet, Sunnhordland Løpsfest, Stordleikane, Stordløpet, Flyplassmila, Industrijulejoggen, and Romjulsstemnet. Its news updates cover registration, event schedules, competition results, and athletes’ achievements, from local meets to national championships. Based at Vikahaugane and connected with Stord Stadion, the organisation welcomes enquiries by email or phone and shares updates through Facebook and Instagram. The club also invites supporters to contribute through Grasrotandelen and recognises its business and community supporters.
