IL Stormfjell is a community sports club based in Beiarn, Norway, founded in 1926. For a century, the club has supported local sport through volunteer effort and community participation. Its activities are closely connected to skiing, with facilities and trails serving residents and visitors in the surrounding area.
The club maintains a floodlit trail at Larsoslia, beside its ski cabin, and prepares mountain ski tracks from Larsoslia via Langvatn toward Stabbursdalen. Trail grooming is carried out by volunteers using the club’s own snow groomer, and online updates indicate when routes were last prepared.
IL Stormfjell also organizes Reinhornrennet, a long-running ski race held on Beiarfjellet. The event includes a 10-kilometre recreational class and a 20-kilometre classic-style touring race, with awards recognizing participants’ repeated involvement. First held in 1974, the race reached its 50th edition in 2026.
