The Storm Lake Times Pilot

The Storm Lake Times is a renowned brand that has been serving the community with pride and excellence for over 30 years. Established in 1990 by John and Art Cullen, this brand started as a small weekly newspaper with just three staff members operating from a humble one-room office. However, due to its exceptional journalistic standards and commitment to delivering quality news, The Storm Lake Times quickly outgrew its initial space.

Now located at 210 East Fifth Street, the brand has expanded its reach and offers a wide range of products and services to cater to the needs of its readers. From comprehensive news coverage to sports updates, family and friends sections, obituaries, opinion pieces, arts and entertainment news, and classifieds, The Storm Lake Times has it all. With a circulation of nearly 4,000 copies every Friday, this brand has successfully become Buena Vista County's Hometown Newspaper.

Over the years, The Storm Lake Times has continuously evolved to meet the demands of its readers. It transitioned from a weekly publication to a daily newspaper in 1993, making history as the smallest city in America with competing dailies. To further enhance its operations, the brand constructed a state-of-the-art office and printing plant at Times Square, equipped with a cutting-edge press to ensure high-quality prints.

Though it later switched to twice-weekly publication, The Storm Lake Times continues to be a trusted source of news and information, catering to the diverse interests of its loyal readership. With a tradition of community service and a commitment to delivering accurate and engaging content, The Storm Lake Times remains an integral part of the community it serves
