Stottern-KO

The Landesverband Stottern & Selbsthilfe Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland e.V. is a regional association representing people who stutter and supporting self-help across Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland. Founded in Trier in 1987, it now has more than 100 members and is run through the voluntary commitment of its community. The association aims to improve the lives of people who stutter, share information about therapy approaches, support existing groups, encourage new groups and raise public awareness.

Its services include self-help groups in Kaiserslautern, Koblenz, Neuwied, Trier and Zweibrücken, as well as a Flow group in Saarbrücken. Meetings offer a welcoming setting for conversation, peer support and practice with speech techniques, without pressure to speak fluently. They are open to people who stutter, relatives and therapists, and participation does not require a therapeutic background. The association also organizes seminars on stuttering, therapy and personal development. Topics include support for parents of children who stutter, speech and voice practices, and opportunities for people with shared therapy experience to reconnect.
