The Maja Association of Families and Friends of People with Profound Disabilities operates a Support and Integration Centre in Warsaw’s Ursynów district. The centre provides therapeutic, educational and rehabilitation activities designed around participants’ individual abilities, with a focus on inclusion, personal development and greater independence in everyday life.

Its programme includes art and craft workshops such as painting, sewing, embroidery and ceramics, alongside computer skills, educational activities and music. Cooking sessions help participants practise meal preparation, household safety, shopping and money skills. Daily living training covers tasks such as dressing, setting the table, cleaning and using household equipment. Rehabilitation includes individual and group exercises, relaxation, outdoor activity and physiotherapy tailored to participants’ needs. The centre also offers group “Healthy Spine” exercise classes for interested local residents.

Activities encourage creativity, communication, practical skills, physical wellbeing and social participation. Participants also prepare for performances, competitions and community events. The centre’s operations are supported by the City of Warsaw, the State Fund for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons and private contributions.
