NowyDom is an association founded in 2008 to help children grow up in safe, supportive family homes. It brings together foster and adoptive families, along with professionals experienced in child welfare, across the Podkarpackie, Małopolskie and Lubelskie regions of Poland. In 2016, the association established the Child and Family Support Centre, which provides specialist assessment and therapy for children and families.

Its services include counselling for foster and adoptive families, children in care and birth parents; psychological assessments of prospective foster carers; and training for candidates seeking to become foster families or run family-based children’s homes. Its “Nowy Dom” training programme is approved by Poland’s Ministry of Family and Social Policy. The association also promotes foster parenting, recruits prospective carers, and arranges respite care and therapeutic summer and winter trips for children in family care and children with disabilities. Its multidisciplinary team includes psychologists, educators, therapists, doctors and other specialists. NowyDom focuses on practical, expert-led support tailored to the complex emotional, developmental and care needs of children and their families.
