Stowarzyszenie Wędkarskie Ślepowron w Podolszu is a fishing association that manages the Ślepowron water body under an agreement with the local government. Located in the Dolina Karpia near Zator, the 36-hectare former gravel pit is known for its natural islands, varied underwater terrain and diverse fish population, with carp among the predominant species. The association cares for the fishery and regularly stocks it, while providing information about fishing rules, permits, permanent fishing stands and designated No-Kill positions.

Fishing activities and community events are central to the association’s work. It organizes the Grand Prix Ślepowrona competition series, including an annual contest to recognize the angler of the year and the catch of the largest fish. Its signature event is the Carp Marathon for the Mayor of Zator and Lake Ślepowron, which brings together two-person teams. The association also shares news, photographs, maps and practical guidance for anglers through its website. Its work combines recreational fishing, fishery stewardship and awareness of the area’s rich wildlife and wetland habitats.
